We want to receive orders from other Shopify stores.
If you have a Shopify store, you can easily manage incoming purchase orders from your merchants, stockists, or resellers who are also on Shopify, as well as your own Shopify stores. You can fulfill orders via your existing workflows & systems. You can also send invoices to the other Shopify store, request & receive payments, and ship orders using your existing Shopify shipping carrier. Shipment tracking numbers are automatically synced with the other Shopify store.
Optionally, you can also sync product and inventory updates to other Shopify stores automatically.
Requirements
- Both stores sending & receiving orders need to be on Shopify
- Install Order Fulfillment Guru
- In Order sender (i.e. resellers, marketplaces, influencers, etc.), select the Professional plan
- In Order receiver (brands, suppliers, vendors, warehouses, 3PLs, etc.), no plan required
How order syncing and product & inventory syncing work
How order syncing work?
Orders are placed by customers of Order sender (i.e. resellers, marketplaces, influencers, etc.). Orders are processed and routed to the Order receiver (i.e. brands, suppliers, vendors, warehouses, 3PLs, etc.). Here’s a typical workflow:
-
A customer places an order on Order sender’s website. (The order can also be placed via any sales channel, including Point of Sale)
-
A synced order is automatically created in Order receiver, marked as Unpaid (The reseller hasn’t paid the brand yet)
- Optionally, Order receiver can automatically send an invoice to the Order sender, who can pay the invoice via Order receiver’s website. The order will then be marked as Paid, just like any other customer order
- In addition to ability to auto-send invoice, Order receiver can set order-level discount, default shipping rate to apply, shipping rate mappings, tax exemption, and more
-
Order receiver ships the products directly to the customer. Shipment tracking info is synced with the Order sender and the customer receives a tracking number directly from Order sender

💡 You can search imported orders in the Order receiver store by the original order number. Go to Shopify admin → Orders**,** search for po_number:original_order_number

How product & inventory syncing work?
- If product & inventory sync is disabled, the SKUs need to match between Order sender and Order receiver. This is recommended if the Order receiver doesn’t track inventory
- If Order receiver does track inventory, we recommend enabling Product sync. When products or inventories are updated at Order receiver, they are exported to Order sender. Both parties can decide what product attributes to sync.
