Overview
This option allows you to send notifications when orders are ready for pickup and leverage the standard Shopify pickup workflow. However, it is more complex to setup. This is not recommended if you have multiple pickup locations but want to manage inventory at 1 inventory location.
- Examples of some configurations:
Customer experience
local pickup - customer.mp4
- Customers select pickup location and/or date time in shopping cart
- Select
Pickup up
as a delivery method and select the inventory location (certain text can be changed)
- Automatically receive pickup confirmation email after purchase
Admin experience
local pickup - admin.mp4
- Go to order and simply click Ready for pickup to send email / SMS
- Click Mark as picked up to complete the order

- Customers cannot use Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, or PayPal for local pickup. Shopify Shop Pay is supported. See Shopify requirements
- Multi-origin shipping is enabled per Shopify requirements
- Product needs to have This is a physical product enabled
